Where to begin… Honestly, I’m normally much better with words than I am right now. Maybe in part that’s due to the ample amounts of caffeine in my body (with the combination of my dire need to sleep) or the amount of sessions and tasks that are starting to run together? BUT the one thing […]
I absolutely adore a stellar city engagement session, and this one is one of our favorites. Since these wild ones were married last weekend, we figured why not start here, with Kelly and AJ!? These Chicagoans are newly proud Wichitans, the best place to start their session was in their downtown home with the Wichita […]
Good morning, everyone! I know. Blogging on a Saturday, but I had an extra hour to kill and guys, these two are getting married later today at Stone Hill Barn, so what better time to share their Fall Engagement Session?! It was actually freezing. It was actually sunrise. It was actually incredibly windy. & It […]
To start off our blogging again, the perfect couple for the job is Erica + Steve! Their July wedding (will blog soon!) was to-die-for and their engagement session was equally as unique! Planning for this was as exciting as it was exhausting. We had three different plans, and three reschedules with a STRONG chance that […]
Happy Wednesday guys! It’s time to wrap up something we started a couple of weeks ago and that is Carolyn and Justin’s engagement session! This was one of those sessions that I never wanted to end. Carolyn, being a dear friend of mine, was of course a blast to be around and the way her […]
Oh, hey friends! Welcome back. 🙂 (or welcome if it’s your first time to our blog!) I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if most everyone is new as we’ve been very absent in this world but very active in that world. A LOT has gone on since we’ve last been in touch, and next Tuesday, we’ll […]
When I rewind a few days… I can’t believe it. On Saturday October 8, 2016, I had the honor of capturing a surprise proposal at Union Station Kansas City. Back in July, while sitting in my apartment, I overheard a conversation my boyfriend was having with his brother, Jeff. Jeff was telling Justin all about his weekend […]
Rebeka met Nathaniel and her world was turned upside down. Nathaniel was unlike any other man that she’d ever been interested in. As far back as her fourth grade boyfriend… I promise you. Nathaniel was different, and as one of her best friends, I wasn’t going to love him easily. I met him. He was alright – but she’s my best friend. Is he good enough for one of my closest friends? Will he fuel her to be herself, even with her endless collection of watches?
Yes, he is. He’s more than perfect for her. The way he looks at her. The way he selflessly gets drenched in the rain so she stays dry – this is hardly a joke – and wasn’t just for the photos. When it comes to Rebeka, Nathaniel is absolutely selfless and he loves her for every part of her being.
If y’all didn’t know, I grew up in a little suburb of Houston, Texas for the entirety of my childhood. Only at age 13 did I spend an entire year here in Kansas, so being down there again.. that’s my roots! Rebeka, this lovely, newly-engaged lady has been one of the closest to my heart over the course of 15 years. After moving away, we grew apart but stayed in touch, and over the last seven or so years, I see her every chance I get and I was SO honored to take their engagement photos (even in the rain!)
Nathaniel & Rebeka drove down from Austin, Texas to have an engagement session in Cypress, Texas and even though it rained and rained and rained and rained – we pushed through! With the help of Rebecca, an absolute dear friend of mine holding an umbrella and chasing me around, we got the most gorgeously cozy shots.
Hello all! Are you guys ready for our first engagement blog of the season!? As I sit here sippin’ my Earl Grey and shifting my feet back and forth under the table to keep them even warmer in my pink fuzzy socks, I’m just hoping and praying these fall engagement sessions keep pouring on in! The leaves, the smell of wood burning (I totally own that candle) the vibrancy of an autumn color palette… it all just makes me “OOOOOH and AWHHHHH”
