Meet Aubree & Michael.

They had seen each other throughout Junior High but hadn’t ever spoken. Having no classes together made it difficult, but the minute he saw her, he knew he had to get to know her. It was love at first sight, but it was going to take her some convincing. It wasn’t until the end of eighth grade, yes.. EIGHTH GRADE.. that they finally spoke.

Time and time again Michael asked Aubree out. Time and time again, she politely declined. Until finally, she didn’t. To Michael’s surprise, she gave in and he knew his chance to win her over was finally here.

Let’s fast forward a few years to Aubree’s college time. A devoted Michael supported her in everything she did, including her love for basketball. Aubree plays basketball for Pratt Community College in Pratt, KS and Michael would always try to be court-side cheering her on. On this particular day, Michael had to work, or so Aubree thought.

Little did she know, he’d been concocting a plan to blow her away. He had all of her friends to decorate a bridge at a local park with a ton of dazzling lights which they then preceded to tell her it’s “The Valentine’s Day Lights at the Park.” Clever, ladies.

When they arrived at the twinkling park, they dropped her off by  a dock where Michael was waiting at the end on one knee. <3
